Academy Chaplains report on encouraging soul winning experiences

At recent NPUC principals’ meetings the devotionals were given by Les Zollbrecht (lzollbrecht@paasda.org), chaplain at Portland Adventist Academy and Matthew Butte (buttma@caasda.org), chaplain at Columbia Adventist Academy (Battle Ground, WA in the OR Conf.) Both chaplains shared their passion for soul winning among the students and by the students of their academies. Les, for example, finds students who need to be baptized. If they are interested in preparing he gives them the materials and tells them to give him the studies as if he’s an unbeliever. When they finish the series of studies they are not only ready for baptism but they are able to prepare friends for baptism! In this way PAA had an average of one student per week baptized during the first three quarters of last school year! Praise the Lord for our missionary-minded chaplains and our missionary-minded schools!
