Summer is a great time to gather people into the Adventist Movement. Here are few examples—
· Gladstone Park Seventh-day Adventist Church (OR Conf)- Going door to door with young people from Mission College of Evangelism in Gaston, OR church members found over 300 people in the church neighborhood who requested Bible studies! About 100 continued their interest with regular Bible studies. They are currently holding a meeting with young evangelist Hiram Rester, with over 50 guests continuing into the third week.
· Twenty three young people with Washington Youth Challenge are spending two weeks at each of four churches selling Magabooks, running day camps, helping with community service and beginning Bible studies
· Orchards Seventh-day Adventist Church has hired three young adults this summer to run a weekly outreach to neighborhood children in a public park near the church, culminating with meetings in the church
· Throughout the northwest hundreds of young people are serving on the staffs of summer camp ministries, leading morning and evening worships in the cabins and showing the Adventist message in words and lifestyle. With careful focused leadership, summer camps have the possibility of leading literally thousands of young people to make decisions to accept Jesus, embrace the Adventist message, and find their place in taking the Adventist message to all the world in their generation.
