Rebekah Plattner grew up in the WW Valley and was homeschooled most of her life. Throughout her teen years she attended the youth Sabbath School where Pastor Troy Fitzgerald led out from week to week. When Rebekah chose to come to WWU she re-connected with Pastor Troy, now the pastor for young adult/collegiate ministry at the University church, and began to consider what it means to become of child of God and a follower of His Son, Jesus. Through many studies, conversations, and meals of granola, fruit and hot chocolate, she developed some clarity about God. In April she made her decision to be baptized and become part of our community of faith. She is an extremely thoughtful, analytical person with a zest for life. She is alive with purpose and knows how to seize all she can out of every day God has given her.
