Reflections on Hurricane Katrina & Its Aftermath

The closer we get to the Second Coming of Jesus the more we should expect to see dramatic and horrendous signs. There is a momentum building in frequency and intensity, and we must point it out to those who have missed it. We should also share the significance with those who have noticed it.

If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the website for Shawn Boonstra’s upcoming satellite series “The Appearing” at There is excellent material showing up-to-date data and related Biblical prophecies. It is worth our efforts to direct as many friends as possible to this website and to participate in the satellite downlink September 23-27, 2005.

It is no coincidence that Matthew 24 lists signs of the Second Coming of Jesus, and Matthew 25 gives three parables of how to live while waiting for Jesus to come. We are familiar with the parable of the sheep and the goats. We all recognize that if we have treated “the least of these my brethren” with Christ-like compassion we have done it to our Savior as well. As the world is crashing down around us, we will have increased opportunities to devote our energies and our bank accounts to relieve the suffering caused by these fulfillments of prophecy.
