Starting work in new neighborhoods & towns

One way to help our members reach out to new areas is through Christmas caroling. In one of my districts we asked each church elder to open his/her home one night in December for members to meet, pray and then go caroling and Ingathering in the neighborhood, returning to the house for hot chocolate & story sharing. It was fun, fellowship and outreach all wrapped into one.

“Churches are to be organized and plans laid for work to be done by the members of the newly organized churches. This gospel missionary work is to keep reaching out and annexing new territory, enlarging the cultivated portions of the vineyard. The circle is to extend until it belts the world.”–Letter 86, 1902. {Evangelism p. 19.2}
