o The College Church prepares many students for baptism each yearo The Awakening, a Student Led Church had its first baptism a few months ago with more plannedo “In-tents meetings” a week-long spring evangelistic series held on campus in a tent is considering adding a second weeko The College President’s Cabinet recently held a retreat to discuss how to strengthen the integration of Faith & Learning in the classroom throughout the campus; it wants to make Redemption/Evangelism the top priorityo Every year about 100 Student Missionaries from WWC serve throughout the world & the US, preparing many for baptism. o Several Short-term Global Mission trips are sponsored by the college, including one to Kingston, Jamaica July 18-31, 2006 that includes a Nursing students practicum with health screening during the day and & health talks each evening before the evangelistic preaching
· Walla Walla College Student Pastors. Here are some brief reports from our Walla Walla Student Pastors as they complete their school year—
o Robert Nickell is planning to have an evangelistic Week of Prayer at the Mission Adventist School in Pendleton where twenty pre-Adventist students are enrolled.
o London Lee has just assisted Pastor Mike Lambert with a Fasting and Prayer emphasis in preparation for reaping meetings in the near future.
o Terrance Taylor & Andrew Perrin have held two eight-session evangelistic series followed by eight weekly small group studies in the fall and in the winter to come close to the people and prepare them for active membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
o Eric Sayler just finished assisting Pastor Cary Fry with an evangelistic series in March.o Robert Lowther hosts an evangelistic small group that is going through a video presentation of Bible truths with non-Adventists in a neutral setting.
o Matthew Sandvik is leading Friday night & Sabbath morning Bible studies reaching out to the pre-Adventist youth in the Dayton area.
o Stephen Doherty is working with Pastor Mark Etchell to organize the youth of the WW City Church to hold an evangelistic series April 8-15.
· Shawn Boonstra Meetings Reap Thousands. “Unlocking the Signs”, the satellite full series from Phoenix, Arizona, has resulted in thousands of baptisms throughout the United States, including many in the Northwest. Results are still being collected for a final total from the 950 locations & those who watched at home on the Hope Channel. This September, Shawn will have another five day satellite series featuring the Sanctuary truth, called “The Presence.” For more information check out www.thepresence.com.
· NPUC Evangelists. In 2005 one sixth of all the baptisms in the NPUC were linked to a series of meetings by one of our three NPUC evangelistic teams. Currently there is good attendance and wonderful decisions being made where each are holding meetings.
